You see, for the past 2 years we have been frivolously trying to launch Surestreamer™ into the global market with no success. From one speed bump to another, there was always a reason to halt our entering into the world market and solving a 10 year problem!
But yesterday…yesterday maybe a turning point for us…
At approximately 4pm, at the KL Hilton Ballroom A, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), YB Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili handed us the trophy for the “Best of Communications Applications” Category for APICTA 2010. There were 6 shortlisted companies we were up against, all of which possessed unique qualifications in their own rights. However, on this auspicious day, the honors would go to Eco Dream Venture for its contribution to the ICT/Communications community, in the form of Surestreamer™.
OK ok ok, so before I go any further, let me do my best to explain to you what the following means:- - APICTA – AKA The Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards, is an international awards program which aims to increase ICT awareness in the community and assist in bridging the digital divide (http://www.apicta.com/page/about).
- Eco Dream Venture – is a small start up company, and a subsidiary of Cal-Lab. Its aim is to bring technological inventions/innovations to the global market, starting of course, with Surestreamer™.
- Surestreamer™ – is a proprietary technology/apparatus developed by the CEO of Cal-Lab. Its concept to prototype took just an impressive 8 months to solve ALL PLC (Powerline Communications) inherent problems, which have been prevalent for the past 10 years. We will be posting more on PLC technology in the following weeks :)
- PLC – Powerline Communications - It’s really a cool and interesting technology that basically allows anyone with a pair of PLC adapters (see pic) to leverage on their home/office powerline wiring to transfer high speed data. This means that you can literally turn any 3-pin wall outlet into a high speed internet portal.
So essentially, Surestreamer™ is a “doctor” for PLC technology as PLC technology has been struggling with its problems for the last decade.
